In using animation software to create GIF files for the web, it’s important to make the final GIF files as small as possible. File Types Used In The Animation Software

By comparison, all images stored in JPG files have 16,777,216 possible colors. Using JPG files as source images can require that you be more aware of how the animation software will deal with too many colors.
